Vivendi Games is looking for PC and video game players who want to give us their opinions & get paid for helping to make our games really great!

Here are some explanations to the most common questions about our product discussions and demo testing:

Who is eligible to participate?
All levels of gamers from ages 6 to Adult who regularly play PC and video games are welcome to participate. Please note that we take the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) ratings very seriously and all participants test age-appropriate games only.
What are the benefits of being a participant?
By voluntarily giving us your important feedback, you will be compensated for your time with a cash incentive specified when you arrange for the test schedule.

You will usually receive an American Express Gift Cheque for $50 or more! American Express Gift Cheques can be used like cash at most banks, restaurants and retailers.

When are the sessions?
Each session is different, depending upon the stage of development of the game being tested. Most sessions last around 1-2 hours and take place during the afternoons or evenings, Monday through Thursday, but there are exceptions. Please note that registering to be in the database is not a commitment to a particular session. We will contact you when an appropriate session comes up, and give you all the details. You always will have the option to say no if the session doesn't fit your schedule or interest.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions are held in the Game Zone room of the Vivendi offices, located in the Howard Hughes Center. It is right off of the 405, just north of LAX, in the Westchester/Culver City area.

If a child is participating in a session, we recommend that parents or guardians escort them to the Game Zone in order to receive any additional updates and paid parking validation.

How often can I participate?
Following the first visit, participants are usually invited back an average of once every 6 months.
Can I bring a friend?
We always encourage signing-up your friends for testing games at http://research.vugames.com, but they are normally not allowed to participate in the same session you attend.
Are there any special requirements for testers?
Besides being gaming enthusiasts who want to help shape the future of game development, all testers are asked to sign a standard non-disclosure agreement when coming in for the first visit. The main purpose of the agreement is to give voluntary consent and to protect VUG proprietary information. Employees of Vivendi Games or any of our competitors are not allowed to participate.
Will it cost me anything to be a tester?
Not at all, and as if being a paid game tester wasn't already cool enough, then we make it even more convenient by picking up the tab for the parking here at the Howard Hughes Center!
What should I do if I've signed-up but have an emergency?
Please be courteous by informing us with as much advance notice as possible if you have an unexpected change in your schedule, so we can find a substitute. Participants who do not cancel an appointment in advance risk being removed from our tester database.

You can always leave a message for us at our main phone number (310) 431-4563 and we appreciate your making every effort to contact us.
